Dear Friends and MEF Supporters,
We hope that you are well and having a lovely start to the holiday season! All of us at the Millbrook Educational Foundation (MEF) are filled with gratitude for our generous and caring community. This year, thanks to your generosity, MEF was able to award over $20,000 in grants and scholarships that impacted students pre-k-high school within Millbrook’s public school system. The following are just a few highlights of what your contributions made possible:
Engineering for Young Minds: Infento Kids engineering kits brought hands-on STEAM learning to grades 3–5, while Project Lead the Way received three new Bambu 3D printers, benefiting 150 students in grades 7–11.
Expanding Robotics: A Middle School Robotics Club was created with the help of new LEGO Education SPIKE Prime kits and FIRST LEGO League resources, fostering teamwork and problem-solving.
Promoting Literacy and Cultural Awareness: Needs-based funding supported 7th and 8th grade field trips to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., while Eduverse software and VR headsets enabled virtual field trips and introduced immersive learning experiences across subjects. And a partnership grant focused on literacy strengthened foundational reading skills for K–2 students.
Where Art Meets Technology: Eleven new iPads empowered nearly 400 middle and high school students to explore digital creativity.
Celebrating Participation and School Spirit: MEF purchased STEAM t-shirts for all science fair participants and a food truck for a high school senior graduation event.
Investing in Their Future: We proudly awarded $8,000 in scholarships to Millbrook High School seniors pursuing higher education.
Looking ahead, we are excited to share that the MEF Board voted to increase our giving to $30,000 in Bright Ideas Grants in 2026—our largest investment yet. We are also establishing a new Needs-Based Fund, designed to assist students facing financial barriers to important learning experiences such as field trips, music competitions, and Model UN events. This initiative was inspired by a growing number of requests from families and reflects MEF’s commitment to ensuring that every student can fully participate in the opportunities that enrich their education.
None of this would be possible without you. Your donations, sponsorships, and event participation fuel every grant, student scholarship, and now that extra little bit of support needed to ensure the best possible learning experience for our children.
As the end of 2025 approaches, we invite you to continue making a difference by contributing to the Millbrook Educational Foundation.
