Honor A Teacher

hats off award

Honor A Teacher
& Staff Recognition Award

The perfect holiday or end-of-year gift for teachers and staff. Honor them while supporting the Millbrook Educational Foundation!

The MEF Honor A Teacher & Staff program gives you the perfect opportunity to recognize teachers and staff members of your choice while supporting the Millbrook Educational Foundation. For a gift of $15, MEF will award a certificate of appreciation to a special professional in the Millbrook Central School District. For $50, you may honor four individuals or you may honor an entire Grade Level Teaching Team. This is a quick and easy way to say thanks to those professionals who are dedicated to making your child’s educational experience the best it can be.

At the same time, your HATS gift provides vital financial support that directly enriches the curriculum, extends professional development, provides student scholarships, and builds partnerships between the schools and the community.

Who can be honored?

In addition to your child’s teachers and assistants, consider celebrating the hard work of teaching specialists (such as science, math, art, music, drama, wellness, literacy, and technology), librarians, office staff, nurses, custodians, your child’s grade specific Teaching Team, the Administrative Team, or Bus Driver—you name it! Anyone associated with your child’s school experience is eligible.

How does it work?

Upon receipt of your HATS form, a HATS Recognition Award (personalized with your name and any specified message) will be sent directly to the teacher or team by the MEF and a copy will also be sent to the MCSD School Board.

Frequently Asked Questions…

Does my gift go directly to the honoree?

No. Your HATS gift, honoring a teacher or team, directly funds MEF programs. Teachers & Staff will receive a certificate delivered by MEF.
